Job Description

As a Care Associate, you will provide home-based personal care services that aim to assist clients with their daily activities of living, which will enable them to continue living within the comfort and security of their own home.

Duties include but are not limited to companionship, personal hygiene, medical escort, grocery shopping, meal preparation, feeding and light housekeeping.

You will need to:

  • Assist clients with basic range-of-motion exercises and full-body joint movements
  • Safely transfer and reposition clients using correct lifting and transfer techniques
  • Assist clients in maintaining personal hygiene, showering and grooming
  • Run errands, such as grocery shopping, with / without clients
  • Prepare simple, nutritious meals in accordance with clients' dietary needs or preferences
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks to prevent falls / slips
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and serve as a medical escort when necessary
  • Offer companionship and actively engage clients in meaningful social interactions and activities

Qualification

You should:

  • Have certification in Healthcare related courses
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Have passion in community services and service-oriented

It would be great if you:

  • Are able to speak one or more dialects, as you will be required to communicate with dialect-speaking clients.
