Job Description

The incumbent will assist to develop and execute the community outreach programs and volunteer engagement strategy to engage volunteers in enhancing the residents’ well-being in their stay at the nursing home.

  • Promote awareness of existing programmes and services offered
  • Enhance existing volunteer framework and policy to attract, develop, retain and reward volunteers.
  • Assist to manage all elements of volunteering (internally and externally) either within organization or on behalf of the organization for which we are recruiting volunteers
  • Assist to develop annual volunteer engagement goals and targets
  • Correspond with internal and external stakeholders on programme and events to roll out activities to build the service culture
  • Manage relationship with existing supporters and handle enquiries from prospective and new supporters
  • Interview and recruit volunteers and ensure that they are appropriately matched and trained for the service
  • Monitor, evaluate, train and recognise the volunteers
  • Host visits for local and overseas academic community, corporate and community groups
  • Involve in cross functional projects initiatives
  • Ensure related data for analysis and management reporting are timely
  • Provide support in all aspects of client relations
  • Maintain a high standard of integrity, and timely management and community partnership reporting database
  • Any other duties as assigned by reporting officers.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Advance Diploma in Social Work, Gerontology or Service Sector disciplines
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in community healthcare settings in Singapore
  • Hands-on experience in volunteerism
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Good knowledge of the geriatrics and community services
  • People-oriented, willing to work the ground and strong administrative skill
  • Strong written and spoken communications skills
  • Multilingual, and appreciation and sensitivity to multicultural preferences and nuances.
