Job Description

To serve as the strategic interface with business units for the purpose of business IT strategy development, IT solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.

Job responsibilities include analyzing business requirement, supporting business applications, working with application vendors to resolve issues, managing application changes and proactively engaging with business users to enhance application for the improvement of business outcomes.

Business Partner Functions

  • Engage business unit/s regularly to understand business challenges
  • Proactively improve business outcomes through enhancement of existing IT applications or introduction of new IT solutions.
  • Track & maintain service level agreed with business users
  • Review & mitigate IT risk exposure of business units
  • Foster good working relations with business users

Application Support Functions

  • Provide day-to-day support for issues and change requests of existing applications
  • Liaise with vendors to resolve application bugs and implement program changes
  • Assume administrator role to support application configuration changes
  • Perform maintenance/housekeeping functions to ensure smooth running of applications
  • Generate privilege account audit logs for periodic review
  • Facilitate user access and segregation of duty review
  • Monitor application back end services and scheduled jobs
  • Ensure success of daily application backup operations
  • Work with vendors to perform application version upgrades or patch management
  • Keep all application related documents up-to-date
  • Support the compliance of IT Policy & Procedures
  • Support any other IT related responsibilities as and when assigned by supervisor

Project Implementation Function

  • Document high-level functional requirements for new system implementation
  • Work with vendors to develop/configure application to meet functional specifications
  • Facilitate System Integration Testing (SIT) & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Facilitate system technical and functional training
  • Facilitate data extraction, cleansing & migration
  • Facilitate new system Go-Live
  • Facilitate POST-LIVE issues resolution

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent with 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • With at least 2 years of experience in working within a team providing application support for key business users
  • Capable of performing application administrative and maintenance functions.
  • With good knowledge in client/server & web application architecture
  • With good knowledge in data interface and/or system integration
  • With knowledge in cloud-hosted applications and/or SaaS is a plus
  • Prior experience supporting MS Dynamics CRM a plus
  • Prior experience supporting web and mobile applications a plus
  • Strong team player with positive attitude
  • Customer focus & service oriented is a must
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong analytic & troubleshooting skills
  • Proactive in pursuit of continual improvement
  • Hands-on and highly energetic individual who is able to work with internal users and external vendors
  • With some domain knowledge in eldercare or healthcare sector is preferred
  • With System Analyst and/or ITIL V3 training or certification is an advantage
