Job Description

The Purchasing Specialist will support activities involve in the procurement of goods and services for the Senior Care Centres and its’ related entities.  In addition, he/she will negotiate with vendors to ensure that a fair price for goods and services are being received and ensure compliance of procurement policies for all purchases.

  • Execute daily procurement activities for the day care centres.
  • Act as the primary support for all purchases and serve as point of contact in liaising with vendors and end users on purchasing matters
  • Source, plan and buy Opex and Capex items and services
  • Process required documentation on purchases
  • Monitor all supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of all products and services
  • Resolve discrepancies pertaining to quantity, quality and pricing
  • Maintenance of databases and keep track of all records pertaining to purchases
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Recognised Degree/ Diploma with 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing; preferably in health and community care
  • Knowledge of  eProcurement System
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; especially Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Experience with SAP Hana/S4 modules relating to procurement and inventory management an advantage
